In the United States, there is no paid leave for giving care to the babies or to take care of the ailing parents. That is why the workers can be there when the family needs them the most. Some countries in Europe provide paid maternity leaves to the mother. The one family-friendly policy that the U.S has is the Family medical leave act and it offers unpaid leave of 12 weeks in a year to take care of yourself, a family member, or a child but is limited to organizations that have 50 employees and the employee must work in the company for 1 year to be eligible. Lastly, unlike other countries, U.S also has no national vacation policy for giving needed rest to the workers.
